foreclosure timing: "I understand the foreclosure process as well as the redemption period, my question is, is there any more motivation for the homeowner to sell there home before it goes to the trustees sale? I mean, if they have 75 days to redeem after the sale is there any real reason to accept a lowball offer before the sale? I hope this question makes sense."

Buying a Home After Bankruptcy

I have a mobile home that i purchased before my BK. My bankruptcy has
been discharged for a year now. I have not missed any payments on my
mortgage. It is listed under BK on my credit report. I asked my lawyer
what would happen if i walked away from the mobile home. He said i
would not be liable for the debt because i never reaffirmed the debt
to the mortgage company. Has anyone ever heard of or done this before?
I want to buy a regular home with land. With the cost of lot rent and
my mortgage now i cannot afford it. Does anyone have any advice how i
could go about getting a mortgage. In other words will they believe
what the lawyer said about reaffirmation?

Need Advice on Home Inspection

hired someone who belongs to professional organizations, has a background in
electrical engineering, has a number of years of professional experience,
has had continuing education for more certifications, and advertises that he
is not embedded with any realtors. He'll do a three to four hour inspection,
take lots of digital pics, and at the end give me both a written report and
a cdrom with all the photographic information. I think I've done about as
well as I can unless I find an inspector who has been personally blessed by
the pope. Thanks for all the responses to my question.

Having a Home Inspection Friday

Google Groups : misc.consumers.house am a home seller. My realtor called and told
me that my home will be inspected on Friday
He also mentioned that it will take a couple of hours. How long
is the typical home inspection? A couple of hours sounds
like a long time for a single level, 1056 sq ft. ranch style home.
I am really anxious about the inspection. I don't believe
there is anything of major consequence that will be found
but still feel stressed about it. Can't wait til it is over with
so we know where we stand!
